ACADEMY ART PROGRAMS 

PRE-YEAR 1

 

The Pre-Year 1 curriculum aims to lay the groundworks of art education in our young artists. Through educating our young artists that art is a process, we help develop independent individuals who are confident in taking care of themselves. From wearing their own aprons to cleaning up after their artistic experiences, we insist that our young artists manage themselves with the proper guidance of our instructors. Our goal is to spark our students interest in art at a young age. We ignite our students imagination by using dramatic story telling techniques to inspire their artwork. Students are given the opportunity to explore and understand the material they are working with while developing a variety of motor skills and learning about the fundamentals of art. Students are encouraged to be aware of their peers through working and sharing with each other in order to prepare for the progression to our Year 1 curriculum.
